Have you ever wondered why a town will build up only to fade away into nothingness over time? The Mesa County Central Library will be presenting "Exploring the Ghost Towns of Mesa County" by Zebulon Miracle on Tuesday, May 26th at 6:30 p.m. Zebulon will be talking about why a ghost town can be an economic mirror of our area. Those that have been on the Western Slope for any length of time are familiar with the boom and bust cycles that are common across the west with mining, gas, oil and shale exploration.

The town were built on the hopes and dreams of people that were pioneers of the area. Some of them worked out and the towns thrived, while others did not and what remains are now just fascinating reminders of our past.

The presentation is free and open to the public. So find out just what is behind that old ruin that you might have come across while hiking, biking or exploring the beauty that is the Western Slope this Tuesday, May 26th at 6:30 p.m. at the Mesa County Central Library at the corner of Fifth and Grand.
