Happy birthday to the "Crown Jewel of Country Music" Reba McEntire. That's exactly what the Country Music Encyclopedia calls her, the "Crown Jewel" of Country. It's been an incredible journey for Reba and her trademark hairdos. The world of Country Music and Reba's hair have seen a lot of changes over the last 30 years. Take a look back at Reba's "Hair Odyssey."

Reba started out in her career looking as though she were trying to win a Ronald McDonald lookalike contest. Her hair eventually morphed into a giant orange ping pong ball on her head.

Eventually, by the early 1990's, Reba settled into what would become her "signature" look.

Then it happened.... 1996. Reba fans where aghast. She cut her lengthy locks, and appeared in her video for "The Fear Of Being Alone" with a short haircut.

More recently, Reba has sported a very sleek, very contemporary style.
