15 all-new "cheftestants" will battle it out on a new season of Bravo's 'Top Chef.' It all takes place here in Colorado. The show debuts tonight (Thur. Dec. 7).

It's the 15th season of the Emmy award-winning food/variety/reality television show. But, why did we have to wait so long to have it filmed here in Colorado? One of the executives grew up here. He spent his childhood skiing all over the state, then attended boarding school in Colorado Springs and went to college at the University of Colorado Boulder. He always knew that this state was perfect for the program and now the timing could not have been better.

Well, that and a huge tax incentive from the state to try and get Bravo to film here. Whatever it was, it worked.

Much of the season will take place in Thronton, but there are several challenges scheduled for Denver, Sports Authority Stadium, Boulder, Aspen, Telluride, and others.

Good luck to all the chefs!
