Tim McGraw performed a heartwarming rendition of his 2016 CMA Award-winning Song of the Year single "Humble and Kind" on Wednesday evening (Nov. 2) at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.

Dressed in a tuxedo and his signature black cowboy hat, McGraw was on stage solo as a spotlight shone on him. Soon after, images of people of all races were broadcast on the screen behind him as in his poignant music video of his song. There were tattooed filled arms, arms reaching out for each other, a woman in a wheelchair and a man boxing. Mothers and babies were shown holding onto each other also in the visually stunning performance.

Later, a group of children dressed in black joined McGraw on the stage holding candles in their hands as the singer knelt on the stage to finish singing the song. As the cameras panned to Lori McKenna, the songwriter was clearly moved to tears watching McGraw perform the song she wrote for her husband and five children.

“I have a job in this town because of this guy’s wife, Faith Hill,” McKenna said tearfully upon her win earlier in the evening. “Tim took a little prayer that I wrote for five kids that are here … he took it and made this moment of it."
