Carrie Underwood is well known for her love of animals -- she even has her own charity devoted to their welfare (Oklahoma's Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation, aka C.A.T.S.). However, there is one four-legged critter out there that she's apparently not too fond of.

Ready for it? It's ... a turtle.

Although most people probably don't think twice about these slow-moving guys, Underwood admitted via Instagram they freak her out. Posting a cute photo of her son Isaiah interacting with a large turtle, the singer added a hilarious caption in which she admits, “I’m fine with snakes and spiders and anything else that most people find scary, but turtles are NOT OK.”

"I’ll still pull my car over to help one cross the road...even though I don’t like it," she added, noting that she's glad her little boy doesn't share the same phobia.

Well, it's good to know that Underwood won't be screaming for husband Mike Fisher every time she sees a spider in the house, but we can't help but get a chuckle out of her hashtag: "#turtlesareweird."

In the meantime, Underwood is moving considerably faster than a turtle herself, with a busy fall schedule directly ahead. She's set to partake in the star-studded Country Rising: Nashville Gives for Hurricane Relief show at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 12, just days after she hosts the 2017 CMA Awards with Brad Paisley for the 10th year in a row. The massive benefit concert also features Garth BrooksGeorge StraitReba McEntireChris Stapleton and many more.
