Often times, fundraisers are just for adults, but here is a fun fundraiser that entire families can enjoy together.

Instead of just having a golf tournament - which, of course, is always a fun time, Mesa View Elementary is hosting a footgolf and glow ball tournament at Chipeta Golf Course on Friday, August 26.

The evening begins with 9holes of footgolf, a combination of soccer and golf which kids especially love. No special equipment is required. The balls are furnished. After dinner is served, a glow ball event will be held in the darkness of night.

If you have never played golf in the dark,  you need to experience it at least once in your life. It is a very unique experience and it's quite a lot of fun. The ball glows in the dark -- and the flag sticks glow so you know where to hit the ball.

Those attending will have a chance to win prizes - including cash - and proceeds will support the staff and students of Mesa View Elementary School.

For those that just want to do the footgolf, the fee is $25 for kids under 14, and $30 for adults, or $100 for a team of four.

If you just want to do glow ball, it's $35 for kids and $50 for adults, or $150 for a team of four.

And, for those that would like to do both events, the entry fee is $50 for kids, and $65 for adults, or $175 for a team of four.

I am definitely going to do this - even the footgolf -- which I have never done before.  I think you should to it, too. What a great concept - to get kids involved in a fundraiser that will benefit students. This event puts the "fun" in fundraiser.

Entry forms are available at Chipeta Golf Course, and if you want more details call Melissa at 970-389-4474.
