A Grand Junction man serving as a voting member for the Recording Academy cast six votes for Taylor Swift for the upcoming 58th Grammy's, citing her kind heart and generosity as his motivation.

Earlier this December, Taylor Swift made a trip to Grand Junction to visit Delaney Clements, a young girl battling cancer, whose only wish was to meet Swift in person. That act earned Swift the attention and respect of people across Western Colorado and the rest of the country. One person who took notice happens to be a voting member for the Grammy's.

Gary R. Smith, owner and operator of Gary R. Smith Productions in Grand Junction, a voting member of the Recording Academy, was touched by Swift's compassion and generosity. During a recording session at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Smith announced his intention to cast his Grammy votes for Swift. "I'm very impressed with that young lady," Smith said.

Swift has been nominated for: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album,  and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

You'll find out if Taylor Swift wins when the 58th Grammy's air February 15 on CBS.
