Take Advantage of Free Parking in Downtown Grand Junction

'Tis the season to take full advantage of free parking in downtown Grand Junction. The little red bags are on the parking meters, making it even easier to shop Main Street and the surrounding area.

For those who pass through downtown GJ on a daily basis, this is not news. For those whose routing doesn't always include the Main Street area, rest assured, as per norm for the Holiday Season, parking is free.

According to Sam Rainguet with the City of Grand Junction, the first level of the parking garage on 4th and Rood also offers free parking this season.

Downtown parking will be free through January 1, 2016. Keep in mind, this also includes the metered area located behind The Rockslide and Hart Music, as well as the lot behind the Avalon Theatre.

Happy holidays have a great time shopping, and please remember you can park downtown for free through January 1.
