I’ve seen it several times driving around Orchard Mesa.
Someone told me it’s a road scanner, but I’ve never seen such a thing before!

Hey Mack, this company is doing a pavement study for us. They will drive basically every mile of City streets and once they compile all the data, they will give us a grade report. They use laser technology to measure about 12 different factors related to the quality of the road surface. We do this regularly every so many years. Nothing sinister here, in fact it is pretty interesting. They are probably done now, so the van is probably no longer out there. Thanks for checking!
