The annual Fruita Hometown Christmas parade featured one STRANGE yet meaningful float this year!

As you can see it wasn't ours (below) or United Companies (above).

It was actually from Story Welding, and I ran into it while getting coffee prior to the shindig.

As you can see it has a plastic machine gun of some sort strapped to the top of the car with a handful of lights . . . when I saw it I thought we'll that's NOT very Christmas-ee.

Thankfully I ran into the owner, Alan Story, a unique fella, who explained to me that it's to honor the 45K military personnel in our area.

Luckily in the dim light children couldn't see the poster on the rear door, which contained men with their heads up each others rear ends and said, "Your Government at Work".
