California just raised the legal age of buying tobacco products to 21. Could Colorado be next?

California is the second state to implement this. Hawaii became the first state with these new tobacco laws earlier this year. California has also banned electronic cigarettes in public places. The law makes it illegal to sell tobacco to individuals under 21, unless they are active military.

The tobacco industry would need to collect 366,000 signatures from voters by August to reject the new laws in California. Governor Jerry Brown of California, who signed the five different restricting tobacco bills, said he will do everything possible to save lives and protect children from the deadly effects of tobacco.

What would you do if this happened in Colorado?
