Their new album 'Kick it Boy' has just been released, but one of the songs that made an impression off their last album 'Altitude' -- besides their male drummer singing like June Carter Cash and Colorado Girl -- was 'Play Some Hip Hop'!

Here's the back story from songwriter Andy Janowsky,

Well it was written in response to the infiltration of hip hop and rap in the country music scene. [Nightclub] DJ's often play hip hop... which encourages people to ask the band to "Play Some Hip Hop" or come up and say "do you guys do any rap?"

He says people have even gotten a little angry when you tell them no!

This video was shot during the song's live debut at Snowdown in Durango which was hosting a nerd night, hence the rockabilly nerd outfits!
