There is a new ballot measure being proposed in Denver that would require couples to take a 10, 20 or 30 hour pre-marital class! Is this really necessary? Let us know what you think.

Many of you may not know this, but I was married previously, it didn't last long and ended horribly, because we didn't have any counseling.

My current (and final) marriage is amazing, he's the love of my life -- even if we do have our struggles -- and the father of my wonderful son (even if he's a pistol).

Like many couples we've had some really hard times, but we continue to find and strive towards resolutions!  We had several pre-marital counseling sessions!

I'm not saying this is proof that the new ballot measure is a good idea, but I do think pre-marital counseling would give people a real idea of whether or not they've thought their decision through.

However, many people think that it's just another way for the government to "mandate in our personal lives".
