Sandra Rivera, the five time recipient of the Robert "Bob" Grant Memorial Scholarship and winner of the recent concerto competition at Colorado Mesa University, will perform as a featured soloist next Tuesday with the Colorado Mesa University Symphony Orchestra.

At the young age of 17, Rivera made her international debut as a soloist with the Czech Music Camp for Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Since then, she has been seen performing with the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, The CMU Symphony Orchestra, and Javier De Los Santos Mariachi San Jose.

Following her graduation from CMU, Rivera plans to relocate to El Salvador to build El Sistema, a publicly financed voluntary sector music education program.

The Colorado Mesa University Symphony Orchestra will present all of the winners of the concerto competition at a concert on Tuesday, March 11th, at the Moss Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.
