This would make a great weekend take your family or a friend be adventurous and look for dinosaur fossils. I have never hunted for dinosaur bones before, but I am getting excited to go hunting.

There are many areas in Grand Junction and Fruita known as part of "Dinosaur Diamond," an area rich with Dinosaur Fossils. Many pre-historic skeletons have been found int he area, including Stegosaurus and Brachiosaurus. Plus you can also check out the Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita. You could actually join a professionally conducted dinosaur expedition.

The most famous dinosaur from Colorado and the official fossil of Colorado are the Stegosaurus it was named by the American paleontologist Othniel C. Marsh. Its brain was only about the size of a walnut.

I use to live in Missouri, and one of my favorite things to do was go arrowhead hunting on the weekend and found plenty of arrowheads ti was so exciting, I can't wait to try my hand at fossil hunting.
