Portion of Riverside Parkway Closed

Your commute is going to stink even more this morning! We received a warning from the Mesa County Media Council this morning that "Riverside Parkway at West Ave is closed for an undetermined time". Get details here!

Cheryl Yaws from the Fruita Police Department is keeping us updated until the Grand Junction Police Department Public Information Officer gets in this morning and she advises that Riverside Parkway is

expected to still remain closed through the morning drive time into Downtown Grand Junction. Heads up! This will be a closure for both directions of travel due to a crash.

According to the KKCO Website the accident was caused by a semi that drove over a temporary sewage line which caused it to burst spilling raw sewage all over the roadway!
