You've probably driven by the construction site across the street from Central High School and wondered what's coming to Grand Junction now?

Walmart has announced it will open the Grand Junction Walmart Neighborhood Market later this fall. The store will be smaller that the other Superstore locations, mainly centering on groceries. This will reduce your wait times at checkout and ease some of the potential parking issues at the other sites.

Some will ask if we need another Walmart. Think about it this way. It's going to employee 95+ Mesa County residents. That is not necessarily a bad thing.

A temporary hiring center will be open starting Monday, August 3 at 2478 Patterson Road, Suite 25 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. accepting applications all week. The market is seeking both full and part-time employees.
