Luke Bryan paid tribute to Merle Haggard at the 2016 All for the Hall benefit show, and he had two standout country musicians, Keith Urban and Vince Gill, playing along.

Press play on the video above to watch Bryan, Urban and Gill cover "Big City," Haggard's 27th No. 1 single, with smiles on their faces. Bryan began singing the line "I'm tired of this dirty old city" before the band joined in, and the audience began clapping in recognition of the 1982 Haggard hit. As Bryan sang, Urban and Gill added background vocals and instrumentation.

"And tired of too much work / And never enough play," they sing. "And I'm tired of these dirty old sidewalks / Think I'll walk off my steady job today."

The All for the Hall concert took place in Nashville on Tuesday (April 12) at Bridgestone Arena. Several of the artists on the bill took the opportunity to cover Haggard -- including Gill, who hosted along with Urban and sang “Tonight the Bottle Let Me Down” and “The Fightin’ Side of Me."

“Thursday morning, I was out on the road, and I woke up to the news that my greatest hero had passed away," Gill told the crowd. "Tonight, I want more than anything to honor the greatest inspiration I’ve ever had in my life, the great Merle Haggard.”

The benefit show included country stars Gill, Urban, Bryan, Sam Hunt, Peter Frampton, Florida Georgia Line, Emmylou Harris, Jason IsbellMaddie & Tae and Maren Morris, among others. Harris performed Haggard's "Kern River" while Hunt covered "The Way I Am."

The sixth annual All for the Hall raised $750,000 for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s music education programs.
