Kirkland Museum in Denver offers art lovers a unique and unusual art experience.

There are essentially three things that make the Kirkland Museum unique, and it's all in the way the art is presented.

Kirkland is a museum of fine and decorative art and features three different types of art - International Decorative Art, Colorado and Regional Art, and Vance Kirkland and the original studio. More than 30,000 pieces of art by 1500 artists and designers is featured.

For one thing, the fine art - is paintings and sculptures - is shown in the same galleries and decorative art, which is extremely rare.

Some of the art is composed as vignettes where Art Deco furniture is grouped with period accessories, as if it were in somebody's home

Then there are comparative displays which illustrate the history of eating, drinking, and sitting in the 20th century.
