By now, you have heard, that two of very own Grand Junction residents were there in Las Vegas at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. We here at KEKB wanted to do something to show them that we are here for them and their families. They were KEKB listeners before, but now they are KEKB family.

We were fortunate to have one of the girls come into the studio for a brief interview. But, we did not talk about the what happened that night, we talked about a much stronger message that we all should listen to and act upon.

The message Jaime has for us is this:

We can't live in our own little bubbles ... you can't shelter yourself .., you have to live your life to the fullest.

I can't even begin to imagine what they went through, but we here at KEKB will always be here for them and their families.

So, as a small token or gesture, we made Jamie and Chelsea our very special guests for Country Jam 2018.

Included two pairs of Country Jam weekend tickets, exclusive entry into the KEKB suite and I also promised that I would take them backstage to meet one or two of their favorite artists.

To me, it may not seem like nearly enough, but I am sure I come up with some other ideas to surprise in the future.

My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all the victims' families and for the ones who made it out.
