It is set to for May 27-June 3. The Junior College Baseball World Series is celebrating its 60th anniversary.

That time of the year again. Where 10 Junior College baseball teams from across the country gather at Suplizio Field and battle until a winner in crowned.

If you are from Grand Junction, we have all come to understand the ins and outs of JUCO season. It definitely brings in a lot of tourism dollars, along with some exciting baseball action. But, it can also bring in baseball fans who have never been to Grand Junction. And yes I will admit, things maybe a little bit different here. So, let's run through a few things for the visiting fans to know, to help them through their week here:

  • The Grand Valley Transit Shuttles are FREE to JUCO ticket holders - Please take advantage of this. Traffic in Grand Junction runs a little askew from the norm. I've seen out of town JUCO fans try to turn left onto North Avenue from an intersection without a stoplight. Are you insane? Take the bus, please.
  • Get tickets early - Here is the link to Monumental Events. - Some of the match-ups have already been determined. Keep checking to see when your team makes it and secure your seats.
  • Grand Junction weather. Really? - Well, I suppose there might be a day where we have a few clouds. Seriously, click the link and check out the most recent weather conditions.
  • Other things to do in Grand Junction. -There are a few by the way. So, if your team drops out early or if you some time on your hands, there are plenty of sights to check out here on the Western Slope.

Hope this helps your visit to our little town a more pleasant experience.

Best of luck to all teams. Play Ball!
