The annual Junior College World Series starts on Saturday (May 28) in Grand Junction. Before the first game, aspiring young baseball players can get some tips from the top Junior College players and coaches.

The clinic is designed for boys and girls 12 years of age and younger, who are learning to play, or may be interested in playing, and are eager to learn baseball fundamentals.

The event is free and features multiple stations where kids can get tips on pitching, catching, hitting, and playing base and outfield positions. The game mound pitching station will have a radar gun to measure how fast each participant can throw.

The JUCO Youth Clinic will be Thursday (May 26) from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Suplizio Field. No preregistration is required, but kids participating in the clinic are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start.
