The last time Western Colorado witnessed a lunar eclipse, I took it as an opportunity to get some really awesome photos. Unfortunately, I did a really crappy job. How does one get great images of tonight's lunar eclipse? Here's how.

According to www.timeanddate.com, the eclipse will be visible in Western Colorado Wednesday morning, October 8, at 4:55 MDT. For the real geeks out there, the Moon's direction will be 254.2 degrees West by South West, with an altitude of 27.1 degrees. Basically, just look up.

Be sure to study the video for ideas for proper aperture and shutter settings. The bag of potato chips is optional.
