The last time I drove from Grand Junction to Denver, it took right about four hours. Driving back from Denver to Grand Junction took about seven. On average, how long does it take you to make the drive?

Half of Western Colorado will be making the drive to Denver this week for the Garth Brooks concert. Given the concert, along with some ski traffic, not to mention the normal commuting traffic, what do you think travel time will be?

Google Maps puts the trek at 243 miles, with an estimated driving time, barring traffic, at 3 hours and 41 minutes. Maybe this isn't so bad considering Google estimates making the trip via train at 7 hours and 52 minutes.

It's probably safe to say the average American can make the drive with only a single "winky break" aka bathroom stop. Depending on your vehicle of choice, a fuel stop might also be in order.
