Would you like a three day weekend? How would you like a four day school week? Garfield school district 27J, located outside of Denver has moved to a four day school week to save money. I am sure the kids love this. I wonder if the parents love it too?

Garfield district serves 18,000 students in the Brighton, Commerce City, Henderson, Thornton, and Aurora and they believe that the shorter week will save a lot of money possibly $1 million a year.

Grand Junction is the 13th largest school district in Colorado with 46 schools. 24 elementary schools, eight middle schools, four high schools, two K-12 Schools, two alternative high schools, three charter schools and 11 Title Schools.

As a parent would you like to see Grand Junction move to a four-day school week? How would this affect you as far as work goes? Would you have to find a suitable daycare for the extra day or would you have to stay at home with the kids?
