I loved talking with Houston Bernard who is an independent artist and has great sense of humor. You will have to check out his episodes on youtube as he pretty much records everything when he is traveling to gigs.

He is originally from Oklahoma but then moved to Alaska. His Dad was a touring musician and played for the likes of Tanya Tucker and other famous stars. When his Dad met Houston's mother he was in Boston, and as a touring musician, it is hard to make a steady living, so Houston's Dad joined the military and they moved to Alaska.

Houston Bernard documents most of his travels with funny quirky video and commentary. His new single "'We Made Out" will be available July 8th. He is actually releasing cd's old school. He is coming back through Grand Junction in July maybe we can get him to stop by the studio and play some tunes off his new album.

I will make sure to make a pot of coffee in the morning, as he is a coffee connoisseur. He has never tried LavAzza coffee, which is my favorite so I will brew a pot if he comes by.
