Luke Bryan has selected "Fast" as his next single. The song comes from his most recent studio album, Kill the Lights.

Bryan first shared "Fast" in June of 2015, during his annual fan club party at the 2015 CMA Music Festival. The mid-tempo song finds Bryan contemplating the speed of life: “Fast, that’s what your parents said when we were falling in love / It’s too fast, there ain’t no way the two of us ever are gonna last," the artist sings in the second of the song's acoustic guitar-driven verses. The choruses get a little bolder, musically speaking, as Bryan sings, "Sand through the glass sure falls in a hurry / And all you keep trying to do is slow it down / Soak it in, keep trying to make the good times last as long as you can / But you can’t, man / It just goes too fast.”

Bryan wrote "Fast" with Rodney Clawson and Luke Laird. The song is his sixth single from Kill the Lights, released in August of 2015; the previous five releases, including the most recent, "Move," have all hit No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart, and the first four ("Kick the Dust Up," "Strip It Down," "Home Alone Tonight" and "Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day") have all been certified either gold or platinum.

Following the holidays, Bryan will hit the road on the 2017 leg of his Kill the Lights Tour; the trek is scheduled to begin at Huntington, W.V.’s Big Sandy Superstore Arena on Feb. 16. In addition to his 2017 Kill the Lights Tour dates, Bryan has headlining sets at the 2017 Tortuga Music Festival and WE Fest 2017 on his calendar.
