Have you ever wondered how Rocky Moutain Oysters got its name? The name as legend has it came from a group of Rocky Mountain ranchers who used every bit of the cow, and they did not want this delicacy to go to waste.

There are many names for this delicacy. Turkey Fries, Calf Fries, Bulls Oysters, Cowboy Caviar, Montana Tendergroins, Oyster Praire, Nut fries and the list goes on.

I was once a judge at a calf fry it was my job to go down the line and taste all 30 entries. You ate some fries drank some tequila. After a while, it was hard to tell the difference they all started tasting the same, but some were very very good.

Many people say it tastes like chicken and you have to cook it perfectly if you want it to taste great. Here is what you said about the Rocky Mountain Oyster.
