Grand Junction's annual MOG Fest has changed it's name, location, and is now a two-day celebration.

The Gear Up Festival as it is now called will be held  April 23 and 24, and outdoor enthusiasts won't want to miss this festival in downtown Fruita.

Like it's been for the past 12 years, the festival will feature plenty of live music, beer, and outdoor gear for sale or trade.

One of the features of this year's event will be a series of short adventure films chosen from the Telluride Mountainfilm Festival that will be shown at the Fruita Community Center. You can buy tickets in advance for the film festival for $10.

Another new feature will be a Slackline performance by World Champion Slackliner, Mickey Wilson. Plus, there will be a variety of outdoor recreation demos like fly casting, stand up paddle boarding, and mountain biking.

Admission to the Gear Up Festival is free, and proceeds from the beer garden and the Mountainfilm on Tour series will go to COPMOBA's fund-raising efforts for mountain bike trail building.
