Grand Junction woman has been sentenced to prison for charges of sexually assaulting a young boy for years.

35-year-old Ranada Jo Tate-Wood-Balletta is to serve five years in state prison. Along with 20 years to life of probation.

A plea deal was struck between the accused and the Mesa County district court. Although Tate-Wood-Balleta continued to state that she is innocent, she agreed to accept one felony charge of sexual assault on a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

During several different interviews, the victim stated that these incidents had been going on for years. Including forced mutual touching and oral sex. Another boy claimed that the accused forced them to take discernible sexual pictures of her.

The sentence includes three years of mandatory parole and that the accused is to not have any association with anyone under 18 years of age.
