There are times when I think Mother Nature just loves wrecking havoc on outdoor sporting events.

Case in point is Wednesday’s Grand Junction Rockies game. The Rockies were scheduled to play the second game of a three-game series with Billings Wednesday evening, but rain prevented the game from happening.

As a result, Grand Junction and Billings will play two 7-inning games today at Suplizio Field. The first game will begin at 5:00 p.m., and the second game will immediately follow. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m.

Tickets from Wednesday’s game will be honored at today’s doubleheader.
