Grand Junction Is Like Grand Theft Auto

This particular crime in Grand Junction is getting way out of hand. 

Across the entire state of Colorado, crime rates are up on auto theft. But, in Grand Junction, this crime is running rampant.

There were 165 reported cases of auto theft in the city of Grand Junction in 2015. May not sound like a lot, but that was an increase of more than 40 per cent from 2014. That's a staggering number. What's even more amazing is that the main reason these numbers keep going up is us, not the criminals.

Law enforcement time and time again has told us NOT to leave our vehicles unlocked. Even more important, do not leave your vehicle unlocked and running. But, guess what? We keep doing that. Can't pass the blame on this one.
