Grand Junction Graffiti Discovered

Downtown Grand Junction has received some new art. No, this not it.

From this story on the KKCO News website, police and parks employees had to spend most of there days removing and cleaning up some new 'paintings' found downtown.

I see new stuff like this pop up on a regular basis when I am out on my runs. Never quite saw the purpose behind it. To deface public or private property to say you did? To show off to your friends?  Then have to make employees take time away from their important jobs to clean up your criminal mess?

Most of the time, with a post or blog like this, the author would include the pictures of the graffiti, but I will not. Unfortunately, these criminals have gotten enough exposure already.

What can be done? What should be done to help deter this behavior?
