A family owned and operated restaurant will close their doors tomorrow after 50 years of service to Grand Junction. You have one last chance to visit this amazing local business.

After half a century, Los Reyes at 811 S. 7th will close their doors after serving one more dinner crowd. They will cease operation after the dinner shift on Saturday, November 3, 2018.

Many restaurants have customers; Los Reyes has fans. I've only visited the restaurant once. A friend of mine was celebrating a birthday, and she insisted on having her party at Los Reyes. It was her favorite restaurant in the valley. As a matter of fact, it may have been the only local restaurant she ever visited.

A lot of things "hit," but most don't last. Restaurants, even national chains, come and go. Imagine running a family-owned restaurant for 50 years. That's nothing short of miraculous.

I stopped by to chat. After 50 years, the owners decided it's time to call it quits. The property has already been sold to another business. I asked if another restaurant was moving in. The owners said they had no idea what kind of business would be taking over the property.

You have one last chance to enjoy this local fixture before they close the doors. This Saturday, November 3, swing by for one more meal at Los Reyes.
Imagine if you can... 50 years. Thank you to the owners and staff at Los Reyes for half a century of service to Western Colorado. That's simply amazing. I would like to wish the owners a very happy retirement.
