The Grand Junction Community Food Bank has found a new home and will be moving to a different location.

After five years of operation from the county building at 200 South Spruce Street, the food bank will close it's doors at that location at 2PM on March 1.

The new location for the food bank will be 562 West Crete Circle, Unit 102. The building is in the Minerva Park industrial area near Sam's Club. The food bank begins operation at the new location at 11AM on Monday, March 7.

The Community Food Bank volunteers will be assisted in the move by members of the Horizon Sunrise Rotary Club, Colorado Mesa University's Intervarsity Campus Ministry, Major Mortgage, and Junior Service League.

The Community Food Bank is a vital operation in the community providing emergency supplies of food to Mesa County families and individuals in crisis. Donations to the food bank are always needed, which allows the organization to buy food at a reduced cost and distribute it to those in need.
