Grand Junction Christmas In July

Even though it is July and nearly 100 degrees outside, it's never too early to think about Christmas. Is it?

This light display is a Grand Junction staple. You can't let the holidays go by and NOT drive through this awesome spectacle. Just north of town on 29 Road along I-70 is a one-of-kind light display. Every year I always wonder how long this takes to put together and set up. Not to even think about what the COST must be. But, I know that everyone who has ever experienced this is more than grateful for the effort. Thank you for letting us enjoy!

Thanks to Jonathon Walker for this amazing tour of The Blue Forest. Not that I want winter. Heck no, I LOVE the sunshine and warm temps the Grand Valley offers, but it is nice to know we have people who go that extra mile (or two) to make the rest of us' holidays that much more special.

The only things that are missing now? The presents!
