Gaylord Rockies Resort Opens in Colorado

When Gaylord does something, it does it big.

The Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center has officially opened in Aurora and it is something else, carrying the title of Colorado's largest resort and convention center.

Nearly a half million square feet including 1500 guest rooms and 84 meeting venues. They've already booked over a million rooms dating as far into the future as 2028.

The resort has been under construction for three years, employing some 1500 workers. WIth the resort opening, some 1200 people will be employed at the new facility.

Guests can choose from a variety of restaurants including Asian, Italian, and American cuisine. The resort also offers spa and salon services.

You may be wondering about the cost to say at the new Gaylord. Well, you should not expect Motel 6 pricing. Room rates generally range from around $230 - $300.

You can tell from the video, the new Gaylord Resort is a special place from its magnificent architecture to the indoor garden landscaping. This might not be a place you're going to stay at every time you visit the Mile High City, but, it's definitely a place you'll want to experience - at least once.
