It's great news for those attending the Home Loan Taste of the Grand Valley on February 4.

This is the 17th year for this event, but this is the second year the event is being held in the Meyer Ballroom at the University Center on the campus of Colorado Mesa University. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit United Way of Mesa County.

While free parking for the event is available on the second floor of the CMU parking garage, additional parking is somewhat limited. Thanks to Townsquare Media a free shuttle service is being provided between 3:30 pm and 8:00 pm from Lincoln Park. The shuttle will run every few minutes between the park and a location about two blocks from the ballroom.

Another great feature at this year's Taste of the Grand Valley is the half-price gift cards from area merchants that will be sold, but they go fast. Proceeds from the sale of the cards will go directly to the United Way of Mesa County fundraising campaign that ends in just a few weeks. All the funds raised stay in Mesa County to assist local agencies and programs in the areas of health, education, and self-reliance of children, families, and individuals in our community.

United Way of Mesa County Executive Director Julie Hinkson and Resource Development Manager Lindy Hodges stopped by the studio to share with us all of the latest news about the Home Loan Taste of the Grand Valley. You can hear their comments in the video above and after you hear them talk about it, you are not going to want to miss this year's event. Plus, they'll give you some incentive to buy one of those gift cards.
