‘Flash Gordon’ Remake – Great Notion or Catastrophic Idea? [POLL]

Sorry, but there is no middle ground on this one; you either loved the 1980 'Flash Gordon' movie or you hated it. There is talk of a reboot, and they're bringing in some real powerhouses to put it together. Is this the greatest news of all time, or is a catastrophe waiting to happen?

Personally, I always thought the 1980 'Flash Gordon' movie was a masterpiece. I could spend hours just watching the opening credits. As a matter of fact, if you don't mind, I think we should sit back and do that very thing right now. Enjoy.

Here's some good news: according to The Hollywood Reporter, John Davis will be producing. Here's the bad news: the same source reports the writers from Star Trek 3 have been brought on board to write the script. The dudes who wrote the last two Star Trek scripts have the remarkable ability to screw up a poop sandwich, so let's hope they don't destroy this thing, too.
