Colorado's premier wine event happens right in our backyard every September -- it's the Colorado Mountain Winefest in Palisade September, 19 through September 22.

The Colorado Mountain Winefest features wineries that will fill Riverbend Park in Palisade for the grand tasting, and features events that make it a great get away for a weekend of wine adventure.

The 2013 Colorado Mountain Winefest in Palisade, Colo. begins Thursday, Sept. 19 and continues through the weekend ending Sunday, Sept. 22.

What To Expect

Thursday

• Food & Wine Pairings ~ Thursday through Sunday

• Float Trips ~ Thursday through Sunday
 Rapid Creek Cycles is offering 2 trips a day, one at 10:00 am that finishes around noon and another at 4:00 pm that finishes around 6:00 pm.
• Stand Up Paddle Boarding ~ Thursday through Sunday
 by Rapid Creek Cycles.
• Cruiser Bike Tours ~ Thursday through Sunday
. Enjoy a self-guided cruiser bike tour of Palisade’s orchards and vineyards.

Good glass makes a difference. Riedel’s Doug Reed will lead a varietal specific tasting showcasing how different Colorado wines taste when poured into the correct glassware.

Eric Skokan from the Black Cat Farm Bistro in Boulder, CO will prepare a five course dinner paired with BookCliff Vineyards’ award winning wines and a view from the vineyard to die for.
