Congratulations to David Cardenas, a senior at Central High School. He has been chosen to represent the United States in the World Mountian Running Championship in Europe.

David Cardenas has been training hard as he runs up Mt Garfield in under 30 minutes. He gets up every day at 7 am and runs. David averages about 60 miles a week. David was the only high school student chosen to run, and while he is in Europe, he can try out for the Olympic Track Team.

His mother is trying to raise money to go to Europe to watch him run.

What an honor for David Cardenas to run for the United States, he will be running in the small country of Andorra in Europe a seven-mile uphill race.
How fast can you run? I remember when I was a runner I could do the mile in 7 minutes; now it would be probably 20 minutes. I need to get into shape. What do you do to work out?
