Everyone is invited to celebrate the diversity of the Western Slope at CultureFest at the Mesa County Central Library on November 4 and 5. The events kick off Friday evening with the Art Show and continue Saturday with dances, music, food, and history.

There will be displays from Mexico, Colombia, Japan, Russia, Germany, and other countries. There will even be a display from Antartica. Cultures from all the continents will be represented. You can even try some samples of different foods from around the world.

Saturday will be showcasing dancers from the Middle East, Central America, West Africa and the Aztecs. There will even be a Lion Dance that incorporates Kung Fu and gets everyone involved.

The United States has long been considered a 'melting pot' of all cultures and this is what makes us a great nation. Come to the Mesa Count Central Library this weekend and get immersed in the cultures of the world. This event is free and will be a fun learning experience for the entire family.
