As of January 1 2017, it will cost more to enjoy our Monument. It is the first increase since 2011.

Prices will soon rise for visiting this national wonder. The reasoning behind the increases are for 'improvement and other various projects.'

Here is how the prices will break down beginning in January.

  • Private vehicle - from $10 to $15
  • Motorcycles - from $5 to $10
  • Annual Park pass - from $25 - $40

Fortunately not everything is going up. Camping fees will remain the same, as will the daily hiker/bicyclist amount.

It has been reported that there was some sort of a public vote on this issue. Well, at least there were public meetings held where people could express their thoughts and views. More than half of these respondents were said to be in favor of these prices 'hikes.'
