A man in Louisville found the traffic signs along the roads weren't making motorists drive more slowly. So he decided to post signs with a very blunt message thinking it might get their attention.

Dylan Frusciano's sign telling people to STFD [Slow the (expletive) Down] Louisville got a lot of attention and generated some controversy, too. While some say his message is too outrageous and inappropriate, others including Frusciano say it got people talking about the speeding problem in the town.

There's even a website dedicated to the cause, www.stfdlouisville.com. I'm not a fan nor a user of expletives, but there are times when a well-placed one can be effective in getting someone's attention. This might just be one of them.
