CDOT To Install Wildlife Crossing

Watch for wildlife; I am always watching for wildlife I don't want to run over any animals however sometimes it is unavoidable. I do not want to talk about however when I ran over some little birds. I still think about it, and it haunts me.

The Colorado Department of Transportation is hoping to install wildlife crossings along highways across the state. Hopefully, this will reduce animal-vehicle accidents.

The Colorado Department Of Transportation says it will put in underpasses and drainage structures that will create separation, and allow the animals to cross safely from on the side of the road to the other.

In 2015 and 2016 five underpasses were installed, and two overpasses and the number of vehicle collision dropped 87 percent. They hope to do a 10-mile stretch.
