In December, as a part of Opry at the RymanCarrie Underwood brought her current single, "Heartbeat," to the Opry stage and the mother church of country music for the very first time.

Clad in a classic look of a knee-length, A-line skirt with bright red lipstick, the Opry member performed a rendition of her latest song on Dec. 8 that reminds us all just why she won American Idol over 10 years ago.

Not only was this the first time "Hearbeat" made an appearance in that hallowed hall, it was also the first time Underwood showed off her short hairdo to her fans.

Underwood is currently gearing up for the kick off of her Storyteller Tour — Stories in the Round, which launches Saturday (Jan. 30) in Jacksonville, Fla. The tour will trek from coast to coast, as well as overseas, for a total of 45 dates. Easton Corbin and the Swon Brothers will hit the road with her as well. This will be the country superstar's first literal set of shows in the round, which means at each stop, Underwood will sit in the center of the arena and fans will surround her.

While on her musical road trip, Underwood will have to take a quick pit stop, but at least it's for a good cause. It was recently announced that she is featured on the list of performers for the 2016 Grammys on Feb. 15, beginning at 8PM ET on CBS.
