Sure, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley may be some of the biggest names in country music, but they pale in comparison to country's next big thing: Ellen DeGeneres.

The talk show host took a recent promo for the CMA Awards in which Underwood and Paisley do a mashup of two country classics, “I Will Always Love You” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” and decided to add her own style to it.

The new-and-improved promo begins the same way, with Underwood and Paisley singing, but with one tiny difference: DeGenres clad in a hokey country-inspired getup, complete with denim-on-denim, patchwork and a red cowboy hat, lurking in the background. Soon, she finds her moment to shine and jumps in, belting out “I Will Always Love You” and strumming a washboard. She tries to squeeze in a few words from “Country Roads,” interspersed with a honks from a horn and more washboard racket, finishing with pizzaz.

The actual country stars from the video will be co-hosting the CMAs this year for the ninth time in a row, but this year it will be even more special, marking the 50th anniversary of the ceremony. Keeping with the theme Forever Country, the event is slated to feature performances from a multitude of country stars, including timeless icons like Garth Brooks and edgy newcomers like Maren Morris.

The 2016 CMA Awards air at 8 PM ET on ABC.
