It was 20 years ago today, November 18, 1994, the universe said farewell to the man who had saved humanity countless times, Captain James Tiberius Kirk. While fans left the theaters with tears in their eyes, many felt the captain's demise was a real turkey, and not at all befitting of the legendary Captain Kirk. Did you feel his death was a dud?

'Star Trek: Generations' brought together the casts of the original Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation, sort of, and gave audiences the chance to see Captain Kirk work side by side with Captain Picard.

Unfortunately, the final battle with Picard, Kirk, and the vengeful Dr. Soran, resulted in Captain Kirk dying at the hands of nothing other than faulty scaffolding. That's right, James T. Kirk, the fearless captain of the starship Enterprise, killed by a poorly constructed catwalk.
