Sunday's controversial "stand" by players in the NFL resonated around the country with fans and non-fans alike. The Denver Broncos released a statement today (Sept. 28) regarding what they'll do during Sunday's game.

In an announcement on Twitter, the Denver Broncos said, "Starting Sunday, we'll be standing together."

This announcement comes after Sunday's protest by NFL players who either knelt or didn't come to the field during the National Anthem after President Trump criticized players who didn't "respect" the American flag.

Fans across the country talked about boycotting the NFL, burned jerseys and season tickets.

Do you think the Broncos made this announcement to retain their fans?
