A second plea has been accepted in the murder case of three-year-old Bethannie Johnson.

From KKCO NEWS Rebekah Joy Wallin plead guilty to second degree murder Thursday morning in a Mesa County courtroom. It was part of a deal that dropped first degree murder, false imprisonment, kidnapping and child abuse charges.

This comes after an earlier plea deal for the other woman, Shana Gossett arrested and charged with this crime.

According to reports, the two women were in a relationship and that Shana Gossett was Bethannie's guardian. The incident took place at a home in the 3000 block of North Street on March 17, 2016. Police responded where they found the three year old dead. Autopsy reported Bethannie had multiple severe head injuries and bruising all over her body.

Mesa County District Attorney's office stated that they two women will face 16 to 48 years. With prison time being mandatory.
